Natural ingredients with a nourishing effect on the hair

Hello girls!

Would you like to have beautiful hair and nails?

I believe I know the answer 🙂

If you do not like taking supplements and being forced to take various tablets with only traces of vitamins and other nutrients, read my post. Today, I’d like to tell you a bit of natural nutrients necessary for proper growth of hair and nails, and where to find them. It might turn out that a majority of such ‘miraculous’ ingredients can be found at home! Here are the home-made methods for stunning hair:

1. Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – Olive oil

When it comes to natural ingredients recommended (especially) for hair care, Olive oil is unbeatable. Its biggest advantage is that it can be found in nearly every kitchen. It is worth including it in your diet but also apply to the hair and rub into the nails and cuticles. Olive oil is a natural ingredient that can be used for hair oiling. Run it through your foots and the length of your hair. It will moisturize the hair, improve its elasticity, strengthen and slow down the ageing processes. What is more, Olive oil can be combined with other valuable natural oils. It provides softening properties thus, it will successfully replace a drugstore conditioner.

2. Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – Avocado

The avocado fruit has unbelievable cosmetic powers. It is ‘valuable for the whole head’ – both the oil extracted from the pit as well as the pulp are the source of vitamins and minerals. In this case, it outruns many other oils due to the content of seven precious vitamins. Avocado is a natural nourishing vitamin bomb; its flesh can be applied to the hair in the form of a mask, whilst the oil can be rubbed into the hair, nail plate and nail cuticle. Each of the natural oils is suitable for scalp treatment as well.

3. Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – green tea

Girls, I will not lie if I tell you that green tea is the ‘youth potion’. It contains many antioxidants, polyphenols, prevents premature hair and skin ageing and its active substances make it a natural ingredient minimising the harmful effect of UV radiation. Green tea will inhibit hair loss and it will stop the harmful effects of free radicals on the skin. Apart from drinking (organic) green tea brew, you can also use it as a hair rinse. After washing the hair, you can simply rinse your hair with the infusion and leave it like that for about 30 minutes, then, rinse once again with lukewarm water.

 4. Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – Coconut oil

A diversity of minerals and vitamins, essential fatty acids, and…it smells so great that you simply cannot resist using it:)

Girls: Coconut oil is the best natural ingredient in many hair masks and conditioners (although on its own it might not work as well on all hair types, it is a great base for any macerates). Coconut oil prevents hair from dehydrating and thanks to the content of numerous antioxidants, it delays ageing processes. Coconut oil is the best natural beautifying and conditioning substance; since it comes in the form of a butter, it is easy to apply to the hair, skin and nails.

5. Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – apple cider vinegar

My personal favourite (of course, right behind the natural oil blend). Apple cider vinegar is unbeatable when it comes to strengthening the hair. It is a great complement to the oil hair treatment; it perfectly softens the hair, provides antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Additionally, it cleanses the scalp well and restores its natural pH. Apple cider vinegar works great as a hair rinse – simply combine it with water (1:3 – one part of apple cider vinegar and three parts of water). What is more, you can as well soak your nails in a vinegar-water solution – it will be especially beneficial for your feet where the where the growth of any fungi and bacteria can be exacerbated.

This was my ‘big five’ – the most effective, natural homemade nourishing ingredients for nail and hair care. They strengthen, improve condition, prevent breakage and prevent hair from thinning.

In addition, it is worth mentioning the ingredients to look for in food so that your nails and hair will benefit from.

Natural ingredients strengthening the hair – my list:

  • biotin,
  • pantothenic acid,
  • vitamins A, C, E,
  • folic acid,
  • cystine,
  • melatonin,
  • keratin,
  • silk,
  • panthenol.

The above-mentioned ingredients are mostly found in cereal products: bran, cereal flakes, nuts, seeds and sprouts. Many of them are contained in fish and legumes, and the invaluable avocado <3, and all groats. It is therefore worth including cereal products and a variety of vegetables and fruits in the diet, you can also check whether these natural ingredients are not found in some natural cosmetics, for example in oil blends … or maybe any of you knows any good hair care cosmetics, rich in natural care ingredients? Be sure to write in the comments, I will try them out 🙂
