All of us wash their hair…
…well, I hope so, anyway:D
It turns out that what is a full and thorough hair wash for some people, for others it might be only a prelude.
Sounds too complicated?
Well, some of you just wet their hair, shampoo, rinse, wrap in a towel blow-dry and go!;) However, if you think about it more carefully, you can come to horrifying conclusions: we do it all wrong! It is some kind of a social gigantic fake! The hair cannot be entirely satisfied with such an ‘economical’ method. Hence the problems with damaged, tangled, dry, frizzy, splitting hair.
The peak of extravagance and a bow towards the hair is reaching for the conditioner right after washing the strands.
HAIR = shampooing + nourishing
This is probably the most common method of washing hair.
Is it enough?
I have prepared a short but essential vademecum regarding various methods of washing the hair. You might be surprised by the number of ways there are! (so was I :p ) Let’s get started!
METHOD no 1 – WASHING THE HAIR WITH A SHAMPOO <W>
The above-mentioned, universal method broadly popular, almost all over the globe. How to do it? You must apply shampoo to wet hair and massage until it lathers, then, rinse it. Does it work? This method cleanses the hair but in no way, it takes care of it. What is more, many shampoos can be comedogenic for the scalp, especially if you choose a strong one abounding in harmful substances, such as SLS, SLES.
METHOD no 2 – WASHING THE HAIR WITH A CONDITIONER <C>
Can we? Yes, we can! This method will be suitable for everyone who has dry, damaged or curly hair. The owners of oily and heavy hair (highly porous) should not consider trying out this solution. However, everyone who struggles with tangling hair will benefit from it. Keep in mind that a conditioner does not lather as well as a shampoo, therefore, you will have to use more of it.
METHOD no 3 – SHAMPOO + CONDITION <WC>
Also the aforementioned method, which involves the traditional washing of hair with a shampoo, rinsing it, applying the conditioner and rinsing it again. This method of washing hair is already a small bow towards hair care. Sometimes, we use a leave-in conditioner for nourishing the hair thoroughly- it is an excellent option for hair that is frizzy and difficult to comb. I choose natural oils instead of conditioners – they perfectly nourish and increase shine, and at the same time, they are free of chemicals and parabens.
METHOD no 4 – WASH + CONDITION+ CONDITION <WCC>
Do you know that this method is mostly recommended by professionals? It provides a complex nourishment. It provides comprehensive nutrition to the hair, perfectly nourishes and thanks to the dual power of nutrition make the strands receive the maximum care, they are regenerated and their appearance is enhanced. What’s this hair care method like? First of all, wash your hair with a shampoo, then apply a conditioner and finish with applying a leave-in conditioner (it can be a hair oil or a conditioner in a mist, many women like to use the bi-phase spray conditioners that combine oils and silicones).
METHOD no 5 – CONDITION + WASH <CW>
First, a conditioner than washing? It this the right order?;)
It turns out that it works great! Especially if you replace the conditioner with a high-quality hair oil. Hair oiling is the best method of care because such product (Avocado oil, Argan oil, Jojoba oil, Olive oil, Almond oil etc.) can and should be applied to the scalp as well. This way the oil is able to reinforce not only the hair but also the bulbs. Oil can be left in the hair for the whole night and washed away in the morning. This method is recommended at least once a week.
METHOD no 6 – CONDITION + WASH + CONDITION <CWC>
This is another method recommended by hair stylists. It is rather popular and a double use of a conditioner (preferably two different ones that will support one another in the fight for beautiful hair), is parted by shampooing. Therefore, firstly, apply a conditioner, or a mask or a natural oil, then rinse it well, shampoo and use another conditioner (it can either be a leave-in conditioner or the one that requires rinsing after a few minutes).
METHOD no 7 – WASH + CONDITION + WASH + CONDITION <WCWC>
This method is perfect for an in-depth nourishment and regeneration of the hair as well as cleansing for the scalp and hair thoroughly. Even though it requires more time, the effects are tunning:)
First of all, wash your hair with a cleansing shampoo. Then, apply a generous amount of a rich regenerating conditioner. Rinse it after the desired period of time (of course, I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t add anything from my own experience – you can replace the conditioner with a mask or your favourite hair oil for nourishing the bulbs at the same time). Now comes the time for conditioner number 2 – this time a lightweight, conditioning one – it can be in the form of a spray, cream, leave-in or rinsing – it all depends on the condition of your hair and what it needs the most. The key to success is to use products that are free of artificial and harmful substances.
That is all! Are you a fan of any of the methods? Which one have you tried already? Do you have your favourite products for washing, nourishing and conditioning the hair? Please, let me know! 🙂
