I know that most of you have put aside this winter skin care and reached for lighter creams. At the bottom of the pile go heavy, high-coverage foundations. I tested almost 10 different BB creams, but sadly most of them were… weird. For that reason, I selected only 3 of them to place on my cosmetic podium. 1. Embryolisse Laboratoires, Artist Secret, BB Cream Secret De Maquilleurs, SPF20, 30 ML
This is the most expensive BB cream out of the three I’m going to describe today. At the same time, it’s just superb and totally worth its price. To me, it’s ‘new’, radiant and healthy skin in a tube. Embryolisse Laboratoires BB cream is a combination of intensive skin care with immediate beautifying effect. It’s really efficient so you invest your money wisely. Due to hyaluronic acid, this product replenishes skin with water, protects against the sun (thanks to mineral SPF), shields against impurities and fights back skin aging signs.
What’s more, BB Cream by Embryolisse evens skin tone just perfectly due to the content of micro-pigments that reflect light and adjust to the shade of complexion. It doesn’t leave skin whitened, it doesn’t look too pale, is non-overburdening and at the same time provides incredibly good camouflage and stays untouched for many hours, therefore skin doesn’t shine so you can be sure that your appearance is just flawless.
Right after applying the cream onto my skin, I had the impression that everything disappears from the face: fine lines, enlarged skin pores and other blemishes. It’s not a wonder for me that Parisian women love BB Embryolisse. The good news is that this BB cream comes with just one universal shade which doesn’t cause any troubles while picking the right colors for yourself.
I’d describe the composition of Embryolisse BB cream as truly worthy: hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, AHA, mineral compounds, light reflective pigment, UVB filters, mineral UVA and UVB filters. I’m sure that many of you would agree with me that it’s a plus that Artist Secret doesn’t contain parabens and that it was dermatologically tested. Also, it’s cruelty free. 2. It’s Skin, Babyface, BB Cream Silky
Since my skin doesn’t belong to the dry skin club, I chose silky BB cream for combination and oily skin. Note: It’s Skin, Babyface is also available in dry and normal skin version.
I’ve to admit that I just adore this BB cream. I was astonished the moment I applied it to my face and I think that the camouflage it produces is just superb. It’s Skin, Babyface is light and at the same time it offers good camouflage. I find this product perfect for a date at the beach or hanging out with friends – always when you want your skin to look good without bothering that a hot day will make your makeup melt and run down your face. This BB cream will fulfill this task and leave face skin flawless. Additionally, it will protect the skin against the sun and condition due to the power of nourishing substances.
The formula of this cream makes use of an array of active substances such as vitamin B3 that deals with hyperactivity of oily glands, antioxidant vitamin E, adenosine that leaves skin firm, and this essential hyaluronic acid which hydrates skin. In short, It’s Skin, Babyface maintains sebum secretion and doesn’t allow skin to shine. Finally, it helps to heal up blackheads due to its antibacterial property.
Since I find sun protection as important, I gave this beauty product a high note for containing a high sunscreen – SPF 36 PA++. It shields skin against both UVB and UVA radiations.

3. Bourjois, Healthy Mix BB Cream
I truly enjoy using this cream because it knows how to take care of my skin and makes it look healthy, pretty and neat. On the top of that, Healthy Mix BB Cream is invisible! Totally! You can use this beauty product to create ‘no makeup’ makeup effect. I think this BB cream is perfect for those who dislike feeling that they are wearing a powder or a foundation on their faces.
Moreover, this delicate Healthy Mix BB Cream by Bourjois is enriched with a vitamin complex (C, A E and B5) and leaves skin perfectly moisturized. I like wearing it to my work where air conditioning doesn’t let my face breathe freely. I can feel then that Healthy Mix BB Cream moisturizes and protects my skin. Also, it removes signs of fatigue.
It’s light consistency and camouflage but still it evens skin tone out very well. It leaves a radiant finish. Healthy Mix BB Cream by Bourjois doesn’t create a blemishing, unnatural-looking mask. Trust me, no matter how many layers of this cream you would apply, you never overdo with it. Hence, it should be perfect for teenagers 🙂 This BB cream allows skin to breathe and, as I’ve already mentioned this, you can forget that you’re wearing something on your face. Personally, I’m charmed by the fresh, fruity fragrance of this cosmetic. Size: 30 ml.
